Could someone kindly indicate how to uninstall WinME that came preinstalled with my notebook and then load Win 98SE. I'm having a lot of software compatibility problems with ME and it's driving me crazy.
    Any thoughts appreciated, thanks.

I'm in the Chat with Peter now, but I have given him the following advice:

rename windows folder to windowsold and then run setup from the win98SE CD. After running setup, and running everything well with Win98, I will suggest he delete the windowsold directory to free up room. I suggest leaving it there until he has a stable win98 installed.
