How do you uninstall a program that will not uninstall?

I've got this program which did not install properly (is corrupt) and when I attempt to uninstall it, it cannot proceed because there is no install log file. i tried using windows add/remove programs, AND the program's own unwise (Wise Uninstall Wizard) and neither will work. so how do I get rid of it?

Do I need some kind of software that will get rid of a program like this?

Reinstall the program and then uninstall it using its uninstall tool.

Whoops!! Misread your message. Above may or may not work. If not, you could try the 30 day free trial of Registry Crawler. All you have to do is type in the program name, and it will bring up every registry entry for the program and you can then delete them. The best program I've found in a long time.

but besides the registry, what about all the files? I know it installed several dll files in the windows and system directories...how do I get rid of those?

Have you tried to reinstall and then uninstall? If that doesn't work, then I think deleting the registry entries would be the best route. A few orphan files that might be left shouldn't hurt anything.
