I installed Norton Antivirus not knowing it was incompatible with my new windows XP. Windows disabled it and now when I try to uninstall it I get the error message "unable to locate installation log file. C/program files/NAVNT.isu'. My question is, is it really necessary to uninstall NAV in order to install a compatible antivirus program?

What version of Norton do you have? I run 2002 on XP with no problems.

This was a 2001 NAV which I had used with my Windows 98. In my excitement over getting a new computer I didn't check the info on what OS it would run with before installing it.
