uninstalling vista sp2 gives me BSOD

    when i tried to uninstall vista SP2 beta upon the reboot it BSOD'ed on me, so i had to use vista disk to repair it, any idea whast up with this?

    That is a BETA issue, have you checked with the Beta team as to how the beta version was to be uninstalled?

    well i just went to the program remove, then updates, then looked for the service pack and clicked uninstall, then the system went into shutdown windows said uninstalling service pack, part 1 of 3, then it reset and BSOD upon boot. i dont know how else it should be uninstalled.

    If it's still in beta, you shouldn't expect all the bugs to be worked out.

    Since you are using a Beta Version, I would restore the "Image" that you made (you did, Right) before installing the Beta!

    well i did have a system restore before SP2, but for some reason my SR got disabled recently and everything was deleted. i could just reinstall vista fine, but it would mean backing up my photos n **** to a mates PC 1st, something which took a whole day last time. is there any ETA on when sp2 comes out?

    System restore is NOT a image, you need to get some third party imaging program to do this.
    Until you know how to PROTECT your machine and data I would stay away from ANY Beta software.

    Get yourself a External USB drive and a imaging program and back up your system, do NOT rely on using someone else's machine and devices to protect your Data and machine.
