use the windows XP cd, put it in the cd rom, restart your pc, and when it says "press any key to boot from cdrom" do it, then hit enter when the menu loads up, and follow the instructions

When I want to do it......I just use my old floppy disc that I used for win98se.
So get a boot up floppy with fdisk etc on it, restart the puter with that in your drive, fdisk, set your partition(s) remove the floppy, insert your XP cd, reboot, and then format and install.
    Any use ??
