Occasionally junk emails will slip into your inbox, just mark them as Junk and they won't go there again if they are from the same address.

Spammers are much smart than that. They rarely send e-mails from the same address twice. The "names" you listed are just the "display as" names. They're not e-mail addresses.

Yup, but what else can you do?
Nothing. My point was that following your advice would not necessarily result in less spam. And the poster could certainly see more e-mails from those "names" since they're not e-mail addresses.

Spam is a reality we live with. The best you can do is use a good e-mail provider with good spam filtering. Since I switched to Gmail, I get very little spam in my Inbox.

Point taken :). I use Hotmail and out of the 10 or more junk emails I get every day only about one every couple of months or more slips into my inbox so can't complain.
