    Hello! So I built my first PC a while back and there's this one cable that I can't seem to connect anywhere. I believe it is for the fan on the front of my case, but I'm not entirely certain. I've attached a picture of said cable and I'm wondering if anyone knows where cables like this are typically connected, into the motherboard or straight to the power source?

    Dunno if this is in any way needed but here's my specs:

    Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.4
    OS Version: Microsoft Windows 10 Home, 64 bit
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 94 Stepping 3
    Processor Count: 8
    RAM: 16340 Mb
    Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080, -1 Mb
    Hard Drives: C: 930 GB (127 GB Free);
    Motherboard: MSI, Z170A GAMING M5 (MS-7977)

    Thanks in advance!

    That is a usb3 cable for the front case usb3 port. Connect where shown in the manual [provided by the post above]
