Every time an user try to print receive the message "Unable to print due to an unknown network error".

Our network is running Windows NT 4.0 and our printer is a HP 3200 series.

Does anybody knows why is his happening?

Everyone have permission to print using the HP 3200.

    Thanks in advances.

Is this a shared printer or is it using a print server on a JetDirect card?

Thank you for your prompt responds.

We have tried sharing it thru a PC also thru a HP Jet direct print server. Either way we receive the same message.

    Any Clue?

    hi,

I've seen this problem before. Unfortunately that error is just what is given when the system doesn't really know what's wrong.

Here is a link about it:

    unknown print error

And a quote from the link:

"Solution that worked for me was to delete the printers on the Win98SE PC. Downloaded the latest Win98 drivers for all models. Installed each printer with the new driver, but did not connect to network share. Instead I selected FILE so that it was not allowed to pull the driver from the print server queue. Then after the install printer wizard was finished, I went back into properties and added the network port. I have not seen this error since."
