    Hi All

I am having a network problem my 2000 Pro computer it is telling that the LAN Cable is unplugged but it isn't. Any ideas why its telling me these lies? The computer is networked with a Windows XP Pro. I have also tried a new lead and it still tell me the same.

Any help with this would be great.

    Thanks inadvance

    Alex

Normally, it's either a defective cable, the wrong cable, or a bad NIC. If you're connecting two machine directly together, you need a crossover cable, not a straight cable.
