So I buy unreal tournament 2003, it seems wierd though because all the screenshots on the sites seem different, so I go download some skins and they just say to put 2 files into their right places, so I did...guess what! It didnt work!!!! I'm starting to wonder if I got ripped off my CD, the original file towards the game is UnrealTournament, it gives sites to UT2003 but somehow I think I got the wrong version... some help please?

supplement...

the skinpacks I downloaded were of .upl and .utx
the .utx were right, I suppose but the .upl was nowhere else to be seen, all the others were .u and .int

Using downloaded skins in a LAN or internet game will not work if the other players do not have the .u .utx .int (etc) files. i have not played 2003 but have played many times using UT GOTY edition. i always had probs using skins -- sometimes they do not work, make you invisible to others, and are generally a pain. i suggest just not using them at all. UT maps on the otherhand usually work well, again as long as the other players have them in their systems if you are playing multi-player.

GOOD LUCK

Hmm i have never heard of .upl like that but i think its just the designs but as for playing online with the skins you can play online you just got to find the right servers.
