There is an online company that I need to contact regularly but they do not offer the facility which enables me to set up a password so that I can do so. Instead, when I contact them via an email, they always send me a code which I have to enter to access their website. However, each time I enter the required code, it then lists all the previous codes I have had to use! I would like to know if there is a way I can delete the old (previous) codes, as the list is growing longer each time!

Sounds like Autofill. You should be able to remove only that in the Clear Browsing history of your browser choice.

Your web browser may be automatically storing them as saved log-ins. If that is the case, cleanup might involve:

1) Going into the browser's settings of all saved log-ins and remove all entries for the site.

2) Set the log-in saving option to always ask if the username and password should be saved for a given site.

3) The next time you log into the site and are asked to save the log-in, choose to never ask/save the log-in.

cwwozniak : Sorry for long delay in responding, but have been away for some time. My lack of knowledge prevents me from following your suggestions, but could you give me some guidance on the steps for removing all logins for a site, as shown in your option 1 ? Thanks.

You need to post what browser you are using.

In FF, Tools then Settings then Privacy and Security. Scroll down to Logins and Passwords.loginsFF.jpg

I then click on Saved Logins and I see every site with my username and password. I click on one site and I have the option to edit, if something is wrong or remove it.

CTRL+SHIFT+DEL will bring up the clear browsing data screen. Select the autofill to be cleared and choose the appropriate timeframe.

Also when you clear the data, click on Autofill on the left then Passwords and look for the site within this list and remove it.

Have followed latest suggestions and arrived at "Saved Passwords", but unfortunately the site in question is nowhere to be seen on that list!!

OK, then it should be the autofill/cache. That should clear now

I have just checked and clicked on the "Auto-fill form data" . I then went to the site in question and am still being asked to enter my Gmail address and on a return email with yet another 6-digit password, ALL previous numbers are still listed ( now about fifteen of them !)
