unwanted pop up bar in xp

    i'm using xp pro. somehow i managed to get a popup bar in my internet explorer. it automatically adds itself to the front of my homepage address every time i open up internet explorer. it also opens an accessory toolbar under my address bar. does anyone know how i can get rid of this?????

    D/l and run Spybot Search and Destroy.

    See what 'nasties' it finds. If you see whatever it is there then you can delete it easily.

    If not sure then post back here for further help.

    no luck. i ran the search and destroy program and let it eliminate whatever it wanted and i still get the additional address in front of my homepage. the address is http://tjdo.com/passthrough/popupbaropener.html?
    it sticks itself right in front of my homepage address everytime. any other ideas??? please.

    does anyone know where i can change my default video capture device to my web cam in xp. i noticed that there is no multimedia in the control panel to setup my default. at the moment the default is my ati radeon video capture. i would like to change it if i can. i just don't know where xp keeps it. sorry for all the questions.

    thanks to everyone who read this post!!! i decided to do a regedit and ran a "Find" to find all of the references to the unwanted pop up and deleted the unwanted references. this eliminated the problem. thanks again!!!!
