Looking through my registry and there's a prog called upapp that is 6 times larger than any other applications on my computer. It seems that it may have something to do with Hewlett Packard. However the info seems odd, for instance the web link leads to nothing and the phone number is 555-5555-5555.

On a diff forum someone said it was a virus/trojanhorse and malicious and should be entirely deleted.
Just checking with you guys whether you've heard of it? Dont want to get rid of an application that size by mistake (4.095.00 MB)

    Cheers(y)

    BB

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but my Internet Explorer has recently shutdown. It freezes everytime I click on it.

Also I cant remember Upapp being on my add/remove list till recently.

Try and show hidden files and then try

    How to Show Hidden Files
    • Click Start.
    • Open My Computer.
    • Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
    • Select the View Tab.
    • Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
    • Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) and uncheck Hide Extensions for known file option.
    • Click Yes to confirm.
    • Click OK.
