recently my fiance's son went to put win xp on his pc he had a 15 gig he was usin as a master and a brand new samsung 40 gig harddrive as the slave... we have finally managed to get win xp on the 15 gig but it will not read the 40 gig at all... I am thinking that this has to do with the bios settings and if someone could help me i would be extremely grateful..... we are trying to do this with a pentium 2 processor and i have no idea where to start.

check the jumpers on both drives,if you only had one h/d in before the original drive could have a different jumper setting when a slave is attached
