update problems

    hey hope you can help,

    whenever i go to start > shutdown it always says install updates then shut down

    EVERYTIME I GO TO TURN THE THING OFF it just wont go away. been there for over a month now, how can i get this to go away lol

    You don't say whether you OK'ed the install updates. If you do so, perhaps the problem will go away.

    BTW... Interesting name, Gates. One would think a person with such a last name would NEVER have a problem with a computer... Just kidding. :D

    yeah i have agreed to install all updates that have been automatically downloaded exept the "

    windows genuine advantage notification tool".


    Ohhh and Gates is not my real name, its after synyster gates :p

    If the windows genuine advantage tool has, in fact, been downloaded but not installed, that may well be the root of the problem.
