updated Norton 360 system won't boot

    recently updated Norton 360, download from symantec site, this caused inability to read/receive AOL email, download again from same site live update, now cannot boot system. Windows XP home edition

    YOu will be spammed and spammed with a forum user name that is an email address.

    I don't know how you would go about changing your forum login name.

    Will the system boot into safe mode?
    Tap the F8 key once a second during the boot process.

    Which SP of Win XP Home?

    Was the Norton 360 update pushed to you by Symantec [ arrive automatically ] or did you manually obtain it?

    Was it downloaded over ethernet or wireless?

    If wireless, try to remove the update, then download the update over ethernet.

    I would be interested to know what Sym tech support has to suggest.
