Download the updated samples for Microsoft SQL Server 2000.

The SQL Server 2000 Samples (Updated - SP3) download includes updated versions of the samples that shipped with SQL Server 2000, plus new How To samples for OLE DB and ODBC.

The Microsoft Analysis Services Samples (Updated - SP3) download includes updated versions of the samples that shipped with Analysis Service in SQL Server 2000, plus a new connection pooling sample.

The updated samples are available for download as cabinet files (.cab). These files contain multiple files that have been compressed into one extractable file. You can extract the compressed files by using an expansion utility such as Expand.exe, which is installed with Microsoft Windows®.

    System Requirements
    Supported Operating Systems: Windows 2000

    Microsoft Windows 2000
    Microsoft SQL Server 2000 SP3

It is strongly recommended that all operating systems have the latest service
packs and other updates installed, to ensure that the software will install and
run correctly. Go to the Windows Update site to check for recommended updates.

The updated samples are installed by executables (.exe files), which in turn run
Windows Installer packages (.msi files). You must have Windows Installer 2.0
on your computer to install the updated samples. If you do not have Windows
Installer on your computer, version 2.0 will be installed for you when you run the Windows Installer package. If you have a previous version of Windows Installer
on your machine, it will be updated to version 2.0. In both cases you will be
prompted to reboot your computer. You must run the Windows Installer package
again after your computer restarts to complete installation of the updated samples.

You must be a member of the Administrators group on the computer where
you are installing the updated samples.
