When starting my Dell, Inspiron running Vista Home something I get the following messages,

configuring updates stage 1-3 - 0% complete do not turn off your computer

updates were not configured correctly reverting changes

The computer then restarts and then repeats the messages. I found some earlier posts about this but they had all expired and I was advised to start a new post, so this is it.

I hope that somebody can help
