Updates not installing at shut-down

    I have Windows Vista (64-bit), and one of the big problems I'm having with it (for now, anyway) is that there were some Windows updates that are supposed to install upon shutting down the computer. The updates get to "4 of 5", and then the computer stops working. I have had to manually shut down my computer multiple times. Any help please? Thanks!

    Have you manually visited the Windows Update site to see which updates are available and which one is causing the issue? Or it may simply install correctly when doing it this way. Be sure to click on Check for Updates on the left hand side rather then just installing the available updates listed in the main window.
