updating on board audio drivers for sound card on windows 7

i need to update my sound card drivers.... i am on windows 7 and went to the biostar website to update my on board audio drivers and there was nothing available for windows 7.... only vista,xp, etc..... does anyone know where i can update my on board audio drivers please?

It is almost never necessary to update drivers, and most often, not advisable. You can end up with moe problems. Why do you think you should "update" them?

the line in ... and mic in is not showing in the sounds section of the control panel, although the soundcard has the ports there

Try right-clicking the sound device in Device Manager and choose to update. Allow it to search the net for updates. Even if no updates exist, this process alone sometimes fixes problems.

What driver is being used now? If it is a Windows driver, you can uninstall the deice and let Windows reinstall the driver on next boot.

What sound device do you have?
