upgrade my video card

    I have a Dell Dim 4400 with windows XP -pentium 4 -478-pin package-intel 845 chipset-cpu 1.60ghz-250mb hard drive-1024mb ram-AGP 4x/2x 1.5v only-3 PCI slots- 1 CNR-200 watt power supply- motherboard model D845PT. Iam Running a Realflight R/C simulator, they require a better video then I have. It works OK but I do not get shadows. I have upgraded all drivers.I hope you can help me?

    You don't say what video card you have. Right click on my computer, go to manage, and click on device manager. Under "display adapters" tell me what it says.

    Okay. Well, you'll need a video card that fits into an AGP slot. I would recommend something in the Geforce 6 series or Radeon 9 series. Unless you want to spend a lot.

    How much do you want to spend?

    will they work with my AGP slot at the !.5v

    Happy new year to you.

    I just looked it up for the past half hour and yeah from what I can see any card that is labled 8X/4X and was released in or after the Geforce 6 or Radeon 9 series will work in the 1.5v slot. I'll research it more though.
