My old computer has Windows 95 is it possible to upgrade to Win me using the Win me cd that came with my newer computer .
I formatted my older computer and tried installing
Win me, but I kept getting an error message.

If your old PC was originally running Win 95 that makes it at least 3 and a half years old, and possibly older. Did you check the minimum specs for a PC to run Me before installing. If it doesn't you may have to reinstall 95 (try to get 98 if you can borrow a copy from someone) back onto the PC.

My old computer is a Pentium II 233meg processor with 128 megs of ram. When I created a boot disc, some files from Win 95 are copied onto the disc. I got an error message telling me to contact the computer vender for the proper Win Me edition. I then made a boot disc on the newer computer and tried booting up and installing Win Me. The same error appeared.
