I have dell computer with win2000.

I want to install Win XP. Would i have fewer problems by doing a complet install of XP over just the upgrade?

It depends on the Windows XP install disk what kind is it, OEM, retail or what?

Actually you would be better-off calling Dell and find out if they have Windows XP recovery disk set for the existing make and model number of computer and order them they might even have an upgrade disk if you wish.

Whatever you do before you start make sure you have a backup of all the important data on the computer, believe me this will make you very happy in the future.....
