Upgrading a 6 year old HP Pavilion

    Of course, thats what makes it so ironic!

    And when i say it runs oblivion, i mean it runs it at 800X600 with everything set to low, but it still amazes me to see it happen.

    I bet you it's not any faster than your son's computer, but $200, on an 8-year old computer, to play oblivion and modern games (even if it IS at lower settings) is absolutely amazing.

    And it was $200, he found a working p3 in the trash or on the side of the road or something (NIB!) Built the water video and ram cooling from scratch, so the supplies for that, added to the ram and the video card was under $200.

    Yes he has cool looking water cooled cpu, video card, and ram with a generic oldschool mb, and case! It pretty much kicks butt

    I have had a logisys 550 watt power supply for 3 years and it's ran quiet and smoother than butter, must have just got lucky because i hear so many horor stories about people with generic power supplies. I'll see how this one fares when i slap a gig of ram, pentium d, and a geforce 6800xt in it, that will be the true test for her.
