Will I lose the files and programs on my comp or does it just replace the system files? Thanks.

As long as you run the upgrade from within XP Home, you SHOULD NOT have any loss of your current programs or settings.

Thus, while you have XP Home running, insert your XP Pro CD into your drive and follow the installation instructions for upgrading.

However, as it always is... Make sure you have a back up of all your data before you proceed with the upgrade. There is always a possibility of something going wrong.
