I have an hp pavilion a610n running Windows XP. I purchased a ATI Radeon AGP 9550 256 mb graphics card and it says on the installation instruction that I may need to disable my on-board graphics card. Any ideas on how to go about this?

Yes. Get into your bios (F8 on restart I think for HP) and change it...after you install the vid card.

However, try installing the card and the drivers first. No need to complicate things if it isn't needed.

Hope this helps-

Well, I just took a chance, uninstalled my old card in the device manager, put in the new one, ran the software download, and yipee! So far so good. I also went into the bios and set it for AGP/onboard. My only other choice was PCI, so I took a chance on that too. So far, doesn't seem to be conflicting.

Thanks for your reply!
