    OK so I got 200 $ that i want to spare for my computer. I got a old 2007 athlon 64 x2 dual core 4200+ 2.21 GHz

So im wondering whats the difference with lets say, an average cpu like MD Athlon II X2 240 * 2.8 GHz, DDR3-1066, 2 MB L2

Im wondering if ill see the difference when playing games or if it s not worth it.

The rest of my computer spec is 2.5 gb of ram,
    geforce 9800gt 1gb
    mobo is a m2ne
os is windows 7 64 bits

    Thanks

If you click on the CPU support tab it gives you a list of all the CPU's that this board can run. Some of them you may have to flash the BIOS for though so you may want to do that before putting the new CPU in.

Seems that my mobo can still support most of the new cpu.

Now, what I wanted to know is , is it worth it to change my cpu. Because I feel its getting old, and im wondering if the cpu are a lot faster than the one i currently own.

    Thanks for replying already =)

Well the 4200 x2 you have has a benchmark score of 1121 and the fastest CPU that board can take has a benchmark of 2995 and that is the AMD Phenom X4 9950.
