I am trying to upgrade my Dell Dimension (PII 266) NT 4.0 SP6 to Windows 2000. I have 64 MB RAM, 649 MB free on the C drive.
I get to the point where the system successfully (I think) copies the files and then restarts to continue the process. I restart and have 3 startup options: NT, NT in VGA mode, and Windows 2000 Setup.
NT works fine. If I attempt to continue with the setup, the screen goes blank except for a blinking cursor in the upper left hand corner. I have left my machine that way for over 6 hours and nothing has happened. I have tried this a few times with the same (lack of) results.
Any ideas would be appreiated.

PS. In an attempt to resolve this issue, I updated my BIOS to A09 as per a suggestion on the Microsoft site. It made no difference.
