URGENT :: Error 29 & Error 18 in Windows XP?

    Hi frndz,
    I am getting Error 18:Selected cylinder exceeds maximum sipported by BIOS & Error 29: Disk write error in my system after installing the Norton Antivirus 2006 simultaneously .However i have 2 operating system Windows XP and Ubuntu Linux.

    I just restart the system after installing it and i got these errors,I don't know how these error has been occurred in my system.Anyway Norton is giving me restoring point but after loading the grub its not working (i.e error 18 and error 29) is coming simultaneously.

    Please help me so that i can come out from this bug and able to get my files and folders. [:(]

    Hey i am using ERD commander for recovering my file. I am able to see me files in ERD commander but not able to do any thing.It is asking for the following options:

    1. Salvage Files
    2. Create Entry
    3. Rewrite MER
    4. Restore Backup

    Which should i follow.....I tried restore backup but its not working ....Which options should i go ahead !
    I tried for the Salvage files but i don't have much space to copy it in the system...can i copy in USB all important files ?
    I also tried USB but it is not able to detect by the system.what and how should i can create a back up of my files ?

    Please answer me ASAP !
