I have a Dell PC. I use Vista operating system. I have a Maxtor external HD that I have had no problems with before. Now if I try to save to/add/copy/remove any folder from it it comes up with an error message saying "error 0*80070448F. This device is not connected." Some times i cant open the drive, sometimes i can but cant open a folder and worst at the moment I can't save any folders to it without the error message appearing?????

In the past I could disconnect the usb cable to the Ext. HD and then re-insert it and it would fix the problem but now that is not even working!

I ask you with the utmost sincereity is there any genius out there who can help me!

Thank you ever so much for your kindness!!!!!!
