URGENT: Locating Video Card and Sound Card Names

    How do I find out the names of my video and sound cards? This is very urgent.

    Start->Settings->Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device Manager
    Look under Display Adapter and Sound Controller

    The above solution only works if there are drivers installed and they are the correct ones.

    If you don't have the drivers installed you can use Everest to identify the devices. In Everest look under Devices and then Physical Devices.

    There's also one method that seems to be overlooked too often that is quite easy. And that is taking the side of the computer and looking and teh device you wish identify - most will have a sticker or label or an identifying chip.
