I bought a brand new laptop yesterday with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010. I went to the website and clicked on the download button (for computers not preloaded with the software), but was not presented with the page offering a space for the product key. Instead, a page which told me to refresh my cookies. I did this about 4 times last night, gave up and tried again this morning. Still no luck. Please help!!

What's your Internet browser, IE7, IE8, Firefox, Google Chrome...?

What's your Operating System, Windows 7, Vista, XP...?

Make sure whatever browser you're using is accepting cookies.

Thanks for your reply, I've got Windows 7 and IE8 :)
I've been through those settings so many times I can do it with my eyes shut lol. Is there any way its got something to do with my security software? I've got Norton360 2011.

If your pop-up blocker is set to high, set it to medium or low.

Norton 360 might be blocking the cookies. Look for a setting for cookies, if any, or disable the program:

This is how cookies are handled in my IE8: (cookies are harmless)

Thanks again for your reply, I've tried both the solutions, but I'm still getting the same message from the website! :(

Do you have any more ideas?

    Try disabling Norton 360 completely.

    If no luck, reset IE8.

    Open IE/tools/internet optiosn/security/
select internet zone & set it to medium, NOT medium high
    press OK
close IE & then reopen it & try again

That is almost certainly a Norton problem blocking it

turn off norton completely, if taht doesn't work then what other software have you got on there that mightb be causing it

this will hopefully show us what is doing it
Download to Desktop: DDS by sUBs from one of these locations:

    http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.com
    http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.scr
    http://www.forospyware.com/sUBs/dds

    double click DDS.scr to run

    When complete, DDS.txt will open.

Save both reports to your desktop.
    DDS.txt
    Attach.txt

post the contents of both logs back here.
