I would like to have Internet explorer to to a hyperlink when you click a mailto: in a web page. Netscape was easy to get this working ex. "D:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape\Netscp.exe" -'INSERT WEBSITE HERE %1

how can you do this via Internet Explorer?

I'm not quite sure I follow what you mean. A mailto link should open an email program. What exactly do you want to happen when you click on a mailto?

Okay, so I just want to be clear, when you click on a mailto link such as

    [email protected]

you want IE to open and go to

    http://mail.uas.alaska.edu/

Okay, open my computer, go to tools, folder options, filetypes, highlight, URL: mail to and click on advanced and then edit, click on browse and browse to iexplore.exe

    then in dde message type

    http://mail.uas.alaska.edu/

    apllication is iexplore

    topic is WWW_OpenURL

This is for XP and 2k, you may need to mess about a bit with 9x
