All the printing problem started from the time I refilled the toner with a new smartchip for HP LaserJet p1006. The printer always shows 1 document in queue and immediately shows o without printing anything.

OK, so I purchase a completely brand new toner cartridge and installed. Still, the same problem exists.

Then, I used the Devices and Printer setting to trouble shoot. The problem was detected as USB 2 and 3 conflict. OK, I don't get it at all, because I have never changed the USB system between the computer and the printer. It was working perfectly right before I changed the toner. Why would the USB become the problem?

I would recommend uninstalling the printer and reinstalling it to see if it helps.

A-ha! Thank you so very much dckeks. That's all there is to it: the UNINSTALL and REINSTALL power. Golly, I have tried everyday for days, just to by-pass the smart-chip issue, with power on and off for a billion times, as well as unplug the USB cord a million times without any success. I thought that I would have to purchase a NEW printer, yet I couldn't let this issue go. Because all the printing jobs I tried, it all said "READY." There must be something I can fix, if the printer seems to be in a working condition.....

THANK YOU THANK YOU dckeks, and I am glad I posted it here.

And to plodr, to answer your question, yes, it is a continuation from the other post. Due to a problem detected by the windows which was different than just the cartridge itself, I posted this thread afresh. However, I will mark both threads RESOLVED

THANK YOU ALL
