i recently changed from media edition to xp pro... and my pc has never been the same again, the usb drives have gone so slow it takes about 4hours for me to update my ipod and i can't use webcams/capture cards.
i have tried uninstalling the usb and installing them, downloaded new drivers and nothing worked. i found out the other day i can change the speed on bios settings and i could see it was set to slow, so i changed it but then i pc will not start if i do, so i have to restore default settings to go back onto my computer... anyone know what i can do?

Do you have USB 2.0? Do you get a warning when you plug in a USB device that it could run faster?
