Sometimes when i go to plug a usb device (camera, or mem stick) once the metal of the usb touches the metal of the front usb port, the computer freezes solid instantly, no matter what its doing. But only sometimes. I have tried multiple usb devices, they all do it, but only sometimes. I noticed that they dont have to be read by the computer, once it touches it instantly freeses and requires manual restart. Can someone enlighten me on this one, i have no clue.

This sounds like a short or a bad connection in the computer.
You could inspect/reseat/clean the connections or just install a USB card.
