Purchased a PHILLIPS CDRW, USB port. Unit has no sofware to duplicate. It installed fine in XP HOME. Can't seem to get a program for writing CD's. Tried ROXIO EZ CD VERSION 7.0, but will not write to unit. Any thoughts on a compable program for CD WRITING...just need something to backup files on laptop, and occational write a full cd from laptop to CDRW, just the basic stuff...nothing fancy needed.

I could be wrong, but doesn't XP Home have a built in program where you can send files to the burner, similar to XP Pro?

Try DeepBurner, it's a free CD burning application. The XP built-in stuff kinda' sucks IMO. :)

Tried the DEEPBURNER, nice program but no CD TO CD copy option.

Well, you can create an ISO and then burn it, with the same result. I always buffer copies to disk anyway with Nero, so it's basically the same result. :)
