    HI,
Is it normal, that when unplugging a USB device and placing it into another
USB port that you are prompted to install the drivers again. Basically I have a Webcam, Scanner and printer, just had a bit of a move, and noticed that this occured. XP Pro

    Just to add..
During this bit of a mess, I received a Windows Fatal error?

Error Signature...BCCode....with lot of numbers and letters (during install)
and a *.dmp file was created.

a couple of days ago my son used a usb memory stick in my computer, xp pro id'd/installed it, i used it/removed it with no errors/problems, so i don't know if i was lucky or that's how it's supposed to work.

i didn't need to install any drivers. it might be more complex with the web cab/scanner.
