Does anyone know how to get the message "The USB DEVICE can now safely be removed from this system" (which is supposed to pop up after you click on the green arrow before removing your "flash memory" or USB hard drive) back again after it has disappeared. I have no idea what happened, but after installing Service Pack 2, it stopped popping up. I hear a little bleep and know it is safe to take out, for I would like to have it back nonetheless.

Do you still have the green arrow? I'll have a look on my XP in a bit and see if it does the same.

Yes, the arrow is still there, and I can click it to extract the USB flash memory stick. It is only that the next pop-up notice that it is okay to remove the USB device has disappeared.

I just tried it, and I still get the little pop-up message by the task bar. I can't remember whether XP used to give a bigger message in a seperate window in the center of the screen like 2k.
