So I am trying to make a live Chrome OS usb drive. I have everything i need, ISO, Writer, Drive.... However, the program i have, the highest recommended writer, is the Win32 image writer program. (believe that is the name of it, at work now so dont have it on hand, and there are like 10 other variations of it, all basic same program)

Anyway, this program writes images to removable storage only. It will find my A: drive (floppy) but no USB drive. After banging my head against a wall for about 30 minutes, i realized it was because my usb drive is being recognized as another HDD, which the program does not do.

So i guess im looking for an answer to one of these 3 questions...
    1. Is there a way to make Windows recognize my usb as Removable Storage instead of a 3rd HDD?
    2. Are there specific makes of USB Sticks that are recognized that way?
    3. Is there a FREE program that will write an image to a HDD or can anyone suggest an easier method to accomplish my goal?
