I just bumped my thumbdrive while copying a file. USB drive is not responsive and does not appear anymore in pc.

Sounds like the bump may have interrupted the computer writing data to the drive. If you remove and reinsert the drive does Windows ask if you want to format the drive?

If you choose to format the drive, all saved data on it will be lost and the drive should be usable with 100% free space showing. If you do not format it, you may be able to use data recovery software to get back all or some of the files that were on the drive.

Well, good news! remove and reinstalled didn't help, but reboot did work. I saw that Win10 does,or will offer a fix for this

    Thanks, for your help!!

Glad to hear you will be able to work it out. I had forgotten that Windows 10 offered a Rebuild option that would attempt to recover corrupted files.
