    Hi
When I connect any external USB drives to the computer, the message is the drive has not been formatted and to format it. When I select this, it says the drive cannot be recognised. The drive icon appears faded and flashing on and off.
I also tried connecting the drives using different cable and directly, and to different USB ports.
    The computer was restarted.

    OS is Win 7.
    Computer is Advent.

Any further advice would be appreciated.
