So i bought my headset (7.1 Tracer Sphere) 4 months ago (it still has warranty) and my friends started telling me that they hear beeping and sometimes buzzing (sound of electric current going through the microphone) so i thought i would investigate.
I tested the sound of the microphone on 2 diffrent computers and the problem persists in both of them it seems.
I am wondering if this can be fixed or should i bring the headset to the retailer and try to solve it with them ? I want to be atleast 70% sure that it is the headset before i bring it to them.

These are the two recordings of my microphone:

    1 channel, 16bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality)

Not sure about the beeping one - that's new to me.

However most USB powered headsets will have some kind of electrical interference. If this is a new problem and you are certain that you didn't not get this kind of problem before then yes there is no harm in swapping it for a new one.

Alternatively you can look for some noise gate software that will mute your microphone when you are not talking - making it a much cleaner sound when you are not talking. - these are normally included with popular sound drivers.
