Hi all,
I am a poorly-trained tech support person for a headset company. Our USB headsets use native Windows drivers, so ordinarily you just plug them in and go. If that doesn't work, you can generally go to add new hardware and select the correct drivers from the list. The other day I had someone who was using Win 2000, and when he went to select the device from the list in add new hardware, Human Interface Device was not listed as an option. Does anyone know why this would not show up? I have had other people use this headset on Win 2000 with no problem.
Another question on the same lines - I have had several people call up who have all of the drivers installed properly, but when they go to Multimedia in Control Panel, they do not have the option to select USB Audio Device for playback and recording. Of course, the headset will not work unless USB Audio device is selected here.
I would appreciate any answers anyone has regarding these problems, and so would my customers!
Thank you
