I am having a problem with my XP Pro PC not being able to see USB memory. I have previously been able to connect a memory stick, camera and phone and all would show up in My Computer, but not anymore. The phone still charges from USB though. Just recently my USB mouse has started to play up. Sometimes when I boot up the mouse doesnt respond and there is no power to it. It doesnt light up. Usually it will work after I press the reset button, today it has taken a couple of presses to get it to work.

The PC is a few years old now. I built it myself, its a K8N Pro motherboard. Its got an AMD 64 bit processor....*shrug* what else do I need to provide.

Someone told me it is a driver problem. I just reloaded the latest driver from Gigabyte and it hasnt fixed it. Someone else said it could be the motherboard on the way out. Is this true?
