i have a logitech webcam. it is a usb device. i install the software and the camera but it will not work. called the place i got it from and they said the usb port neede to be turned on. it was going to cost $40 that i didnt have. was weondering how u go about turning a usb port on.

£28 for a usb port to be turned, money for old rope!
anyway, when you switch your comp on after the memory count, keep hitting delete. you go into your bios, go down the options, mines called chipset features, press enter, there you will get a list of things, they will either be enabled or disabled, look for on chip usb and on chip usb 2, if they say disabled after them press your plus key on the number pad on your keyboard, it should change to enabled, go down to usb 2 and do the same. press escape to get out of that screen and then go to the one that says save and exit. press enter, it will say save and exit y/n, press y and enter, then it will carry on loading. they should work now.
