usb port very slow

    OS Version: Microsoft Windows 8 Pro with Media Center, 32 bit
    Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3600+, x64 Family 15 Model 107 Stepping 1
    Processor Count: 2
    RAM: 2047 Mb
    Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT, 1024 Mb
    Hard Drives: Seagate 500gb
    Motherboard: MSI, MS-7309

    this my system config.
    i have two pendrive.when i copy a file to pendrive i get only 600-900KB/s.1st i thought it was problem of ma pen drive.But i get 4MB/s on other computers.My drivers are up to date.I yesterday bought a 1tb external HDD.that is not detecting on ma pc.please help

    You are probably getting the slower speed on a USB 1.1 port, and the faster speed on a 2.0 port.

    i am getting same speed on all ports.

    I saying that you probably have the slower 1.1 ports on the one computer, but 2.0 ports on your other computers where you are getting the faster speeds....
