Ok I'm using a custom built system and a few months ago all of my USB ports(6 of them) went together. I took it to 2 different shops, one says that they got a message bout something like overvoltage or something like that, the other says that its just the motherboard. Ill get back on and get the stats later for yall but im a lil bit in a rush. Im using a PCI USB card right now and it seems that even that went out. any advice would help. thanks

well, try to figure out if it is a certian USB component that will short out or break your USB port.

It could also be the Motherboard, but i would get another PCI USB card and if it breaks WHILE your using a USB component, then I would not use that one thing. But if it works, and then the next time ou want to use it, it is broken, it is probably the motherboard being cranky...

    Hope that Helps!!:)
