Earlier, I had my printer put into my room. I plugged it in the USB ports, installed the drivers, and the like. I printed it out, and hit the switch on the back of the printer and now Windows doesn't recognize it anymore. Now when I go to the "Found New Hardware" wizard, it will always say "Found New Hardware - USB Device" then "Found New Hardware - Unknown Device". Then when I go to "Add New Printer" wizard, it says it cannot find my printer. And when I plug it in the USB, it says it doesn't recognize it. I have no idea what's wrong. Please help.

What does "hit the switch on the back of the printer" mean? Haave you tried a different usb port? Cable? Do other usb devices work on the port in question?

There is a switch on the back of the printer that turns it off. I've tried different USB ports and it doesn't work. I don't know if others are working; I'll try it out.
