USB Printer / Wireless printer

If I attach a USB printer to a PC are there any restrictions as to how long the UPS cable can be.

If I attach a printer using a bluetooth connection how fast is bluetooth at transferring the data? Is it really a practical solution or would 802.11g be way way better?

By "UPS" cable you mean USB?

There is a limit of ~ 5m before you get data corruption, unless repeaters are used.

Bluetooth would still be several orders of speed faster than the printer can use, its around 720 kb/s

Distance could be a problem, normal range is about 10 metres reliably unless high power bluetooth versions are used.

If you can string a USB cable to the thing, why not use a wired print server? It'll be a lot easier to get running and keep running I would imagine...
